Ishihara Lab hard at work
July is one of the busiest months for attending conferences. Members of Ishihara Lab presented four papers at conferences in July. The following are the titles of the papers:
- Jun Imaki and Shunichi Ishihara, ‘Automated Essay Scoring Systems: Can we Use them in Japanese Language Learning Environment?’, the JSAA-ICJLE 2009 Conference, Sydney.
- Mami Iwashita and Shunichi Ishihara, ‘The Subject and the Verb in Japanese Passive Constructions’, the 2009 Australian Linguistic Society Conference, Melbourne.
- Shunichi Ishihara, ‘How Diverse Are We? An Empirical Analysis of Individual Differences in the Use of Fillers’, the 2009 International Pragmatics Conference, Melbourne.
- Shunichi Ishihara, ‘A Collocation Analysis of Topic Change Utterances of Multi-Party Meeting Conversations’, the 2009 Australian Linguistic Society Conference, Melbourne
This was Jun’s conference debut and she truly enjoyed the real thrill of research presentation. She has already become addicted and has started preparing for another presentation.
Some of the above presentations can be viewed as posters at the Japan Centre.
