A welcome from Dr Katerina Teaiwa, Pacific Studies Convener
Pacific Studies is a transdisciplinary field that explores Oceania, a region that includes the Pacific Islands, West Papua, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific diaspora across the globe.
ANU hosts Australia's first dedicated undergraduate Pacific Studies program. Coordinated through Learning Oceania, a network of scholars, students and staff, this program includes:
- the Pacific Studies major
- the Pacific Languages major
- a range of courses open to undergraduate and postgraduate students
- PhD supervision opportunities
- Study Abroad opportunities with ANU exchange partners to develop language and other capacities in Pacific Studies
This program has been developed in response to the urgent and growing demand for students of Pacific Studies throughout Australia and the region. Follow the links below to learn more about the new Pacific Studies program, or contact Pacific Studies Convener Dr Katerina Teaiwa for further information.
