Say ni hao to Chinese language lessons: Yanyan Wang's ABC Central West NSW online Chinese classes
Yanyan Wang (GradDipAppling (ANU), GradCert (Hobart), PostGradDip (Nanjing), BA, (Wuhan) teaches courses in Modern Chinese language. She was Lecturer of English at Central China Normal University and has also taught Chinese language and culture in Hobart.

She has published some book chapters and journal articles such as 'Oral Prewriting Exercises in College English Writing' in The First International Symposium on Foreign Language Teaching Proceedings: Wuhan: Huazhong University of Science and Technology Press, 1994 pp. 410-415. She has also published Common Errors for Chinese College English Students (with Zhang Longsheng): Wuhan: Hubei Education Publisher, 1996, 349 pp., and translations including Sister Carrie (translated from English to Chinese with Hu Ying): Beijing: Beijing Yanshan Publisher, 1995, 353 pp. Recently she published two journal articles. Relationship between Second Language Written Performance and the Level of Willingness to Communicate in Class: A Quantitative Analysis of a Second-year Chinese Class 2004 at the Australian National University was published by the 15th Biennial Conference of the Asian Studies Association of Australia Proceedings, Canberra: Australian National University, 2004. An Analysis of 'whiniging', 'dobbing' and 'mateship' in Australian Contemporary Culture was published in The International Journal of Language, Society and Culture, Issue 15-2005, Tasmania.

Her main research interest is on Teaching Chinese as Second Language. She is the course coordinator of Modern Chinese 3 and 4.
