PASIFIKA AUSTRALIA FORUM PANELIST (OCT 30, 2008)

I am the Chairperson of the NSW Council for Pacific Communities, South West Sydney Regional Advisory Council. I was an (2003) Interim member of the NSW Council for Pacific Communities, which was set up by the then Premier of NSW Bob Carr to address the needs and wants of Pacific Communities throughout NSW. I am also an elected Councillor of Campbelltown City Council and have also served a term as Deputy Mayor. I also have a day job which is the Administrator of the South West Multicultural And Community Centre which is based in Minto a suburb of Campbelltown. I am 63 years old and have a Bachelor of Ed and at the age of 59 I graduated with my Masters in Social Policy. I am a New Zealander by birth, nationalised Australian and have a cultural background of Maori and English, Scotish and Welsh.
