How to adjust the display focus of a Hewlett-Packard flat-panel monitor:

From time to time these monitors may appear to be slightly out of focus in vertical bands on the screen.

To fix this:

• press the "Auto" button once (this is the left button in the row of four buttons under the screen)
• wait while the screen recalibrates

You shouldn't have to do this (it's called recalibrating the monitor) very often.
