Thunderbird allows you to attach a signature block to all your outgoing mail. Create the block with a text editor then change your Thunderbird settings to attach the block. Here's how:
- use Notepad or a similar text editor (not Word) to create the signature block. It will look something like:
John Smith John.Smith@anu.edu.au phone: 12345 room: 123 Some Building
Notepad is a text editor. Find it under Programs -> Accessories
- save the file as my-sig.txt in 'My Documents'
- in Thunderbird go to Tools - Account Settings and check the box marked 'Attach this signature'
- navigate to the signature file you've created - my-sig.txt - by clicking the button marked 'Choose'
- click Open, then OK
That's it. Your outgoing email messages will have the signature you've created attached to them.
If you need to change your signature edit my-sig.txt.
