Centre for Asian Societies and Histories degree programs
Faculty of Asian Studies, The Australian National University
Students enrolled for the Asian Studies degrees take courses offered by the Centre for Asian Societies and Histories as well as an Asian language. Many students taking the Centre's courses are enrolled in other Faculties. Students of Economic History, Political Science, International Relations, Anthropology, Geography or Sociology find that the Centre's courses complement their study programs and may also enhance their career prospects.

Asian language courses
Information about language courses offered in the Faculty of Asian Studies is available from the China Centre, the Japan Centre, the Korea Centre, the South Asia Centre, the Southeast Asia Centre, and the National Thai Studies Centre. Students can select a language from an extensive list which includes Arabic, Chinese (including Cantonese and Classical Chinese), Hindi, Indonesian (including Javanese), Japanese, Korean, Persian, Sanskrit, Thai (including Lao), Urdu, Persian, and Vietnamese.
Graduate studies in the Asian Societies and Histories Centre
Members of the the Centre for Asian Societies and Histories also supervise postgraduate studies.
Postgraduate studies may be undertaken for the Graduate Diploma, Master of Asian Studies, Master of Arts (Asian Studies), the MPhil and PhD.
