Centre for Asian Societies and Histories
Faculty of Asian Studies, Australian National University
Australia continues to develop important economic and cultural relationships with Asia. We need to know as much as possible about our closest neighbours. Recent developments in Asia are also a primary security concern. To meet this challenge the Centre for Asian Societies and Histories has expanded its teaching and research programs and is now offering a cognitive major featuring fields of study in: Asian History, Asian Religions, Contemporary Asian Societies, Asian Politics and International Relations, or Security Studies. The Centre for Asian Societies and Histories degree programs are open to undergraduate students taking degrees in the Faculty of Asian Studies as well as to students enrolled in other Faculties at the Australian National University. Members of the Centre also supervise postgraduate studies.
Students are welcome to discuss their decisions on courses and degrees with the Centre's teachers.
For information about courses and enrolment procedures, please contact the Centre Administrator Ms Harriette Wilson via email FAS_Admin_Team@anu.edu.au, phone + 61 2 6125 4658, or write to:
